The Motor Block holds a small 3 volt DC motor. It is intentionally a raw motor component designed so you can create your own inventions to try out on the motor shaft. This component also allows an exploration of polarity - with one orientation, the shaft will spin clockwise and if you reverse your connections, you can make it spin counterclockwise.

We’ve upgraded our motors to these high quality DC motors; very strong magnets and very efficient - at 3VDC they only draw about .02A current! They’re also very quiet, you can hardly hear them spinning!
