The Batteries Block 

holds 2 AA batteries (included) to supply 3 volts needed to work with all of our components. Beneath the plastic battery holder we have soldered a resettable fuse in series with the batteries - this fuse is triggered in the event of a short circuit and automatically resets as soon as the short circuit is removed. We recommend only one set of batteries to be used in any circuit - each component is designed to work with 3 volts and can be damaged with voltages that exceed this limit - learn about parallel circuits to find out how you can use one set of batteries with many components at once.
